Disco noisy Sophie

I stayed two nights in this hotel so this is about room 3 (which applies to similar rooms 1 to 8: the superior rooms). The superior rooms are extremely noisy and dark, so stay away. The rooms have no windows but a colour patched panel. This means that you get no light from the outside but you get all the noise and zero privacy. On the evening we arrived a group of guests decided to put pop music on in the pool. We got all of that so it felt like being in the middle of a disco.. so much for choosing a garden hotel! Zero peace and quiet. During the night you could hear the doors slam of the room nearby and people going out for a smoke.There are no “no smoking” signs so people can smoke in front of you room. Also you can hear everything going on in the nearby kitchen. Finally the AC must be from the 80ies it’s s very old and probably belongs to a museum. You can only be too hot or too cold,nothing in between. And you will feel as if your inside a truck.. it’s that noisy The breakfast is so so and mainly tailored for local taste (lots of chicken stew and curry dishes). I asked for a cappuccino as the coffee is the filtered one. They did have it but you need to pay additional. Now, for a hotel of this price it should not be extra to ask for a decent coffee. It doesn’t give a good impression. The garden could be better if they didn’t have the motor and generators just there and running at all times. You don’t hear the nature but electrical and buzzing sound everywhere.

The staff is extremely nice and helpful though they cannot fix the mistakes from the managers of the hotel. The hotel is expanding so there’s a construction site behind. Maybe thanks to this it was possible to sneak to the seafront in the middle of the mangroves. This was extremely beautiful and I really hope that the hotel expansion does not plan to destroy it. It was probably the only thing I really enjoyed as it was natural and peaceful

Great resort, great ambience with super friendly staff.

The location is great, close to town and it's quiet regardless of the construction going on next to the rooms. The dining room exceeded my expectations, the breakfast buffet was superb with great selections. The swimming pool was also good and big enough to enjoy it. Our room was very spacious for the 3 of us. The overall ambience of the resort was totally peaceful.

There is very limited internet access.

There is very limited internet access. The speed the internet is slow. The hotel is located in the outskirt of the town and as a result has poor cellular reception. The LTE/3G of cellphone therefore would also not work.

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about Coron. Coron is not a city you visit to stay in at your resort all day so Sophia’s provides just what you need for your stay in Coron. They will call a tricycle to take you to town when you need which was super easy and convenient.

Not much. The breakfast was OK but on par with other resorts throughout my trip through Asia.

Such a lovely hotel with very nice grounds.

Such a lovely hotel with very nice grounds. Could do with more beds around the pool but other than that, the hotel was great. Staff were very friendly too and it’s a short tricycle ride away to the town where there are loads of places to eat.

Great staff!

The staff was excellent! They did everything to make our stay great. The hotel is about this 10 minutes tricycle ride from port and town. Note that there is no beach nearby. You have to take a boat/tour to other islands if you want to swim.

If peace and quiet matter, never stay in this hotel until the construction is done .

Most of the staff were really attentive . Food was great. The staff at front desk were so helpful but did not tell us upfront about the construction that was going on at the back of our room

We chose sophia because per review , it was such a quiet place and the location is near the town proper. Was really dissapointed because during our stay it was really SUPER duper noisy due to the ongoing construction. Front desk never told us about that on check in. Had i known about it, we would never stay in the hotel. It was really very unusually loud and they never even tried to mask the sound . When we complained about it, front desk staff said they would stop the consruction for 3 hours however it was only stopped for an hour. Very dissapointed.

Staff are so friendly. They are always smiling and very helpful. They will accommodate your needs as much as they can. Really enjoy my stay. Food is good and cheap. WiFi... terrible!!!

„Preis-Leistungsverhältnis steht in keinem Verhältnis, es gibt sicherlich bessere Ressorts in Coron.

Das Personal war sehr nett, auch dasFamilienzimmer, was wir gebucht hatten, erfüllte mit Abstrichen (Ameisen!) unsere Erwartungen. Die zwei gebuchten Touren (Coron Island Tour und Island Escape Tour) können wir voll empfehlen.

Hygenie war mangelhaft (viele Fliegen im Speisesaal, auch am Buffet), Ameisen im Zimmer, sehr schlechtes Internet und Essensangebot war überschaubar. Coron selber bietet nicht sehr viel, auch zuviel Verkehr auf den Straßen. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für das Hotel nicht gerechtfertigt.

Die Mitarbeitern sind sehr freundlich das essen wirklich lecker. Die mitarbeitern sind immer vor ort wenn mann sie brauchen.

Vielleicht ein privates kleine insel wäre schön da musst mann nicht ausflug buchen die sind viel zu teuer. das aircon war zu kalt und es ist genau vor meinem bett ich habe mich erkältet, ohne aircon könnte ich nicht wegen hitze nicht schlafen das aircon ist einfach im falsche platz. sonnt wäre dieser hotel wirklich schön und romantisch.

Schöne, saubere (aber kleine) Zimmer mit allem Komfort, sehr schöne Gartenanlage. Ruhige Gegend (abseits vom Tubel der Stadt Coron) - wenn die Baustelle nebenan nicht wäre! Frühstück wurde frisch zubereitet und war gut - ausser dass kein frischer Fruchtsaft inkl. war. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit!

Liegt etwas ausserhalb der Stadt, ist aber mit dem Tricycle in 10 Minuten erreichbar. Da das Resort erweitert wird, befindet sich gleich nebenan eine Baustelle und es ist tagsüber sehr laut!!! Preis/Leistung: etwas zu teuer! Bei dem Preis könnte das Frühstück umfangreicher sein! WLAN oft langsam (wie überall auf den Philipinnen).

Habitación amplia y comoda, con terraza.

Habitación amplia y comoda, con terraza. Buena piscina Restaurante con platos filipinos bien elaborados. Traslado al aeropuerto.

Jardines y edificios descuidados. No limpian la habitación si no pones el cartel para que lo hagan, nosotros no teníamos cartel en la habitación y tenías que reclamar lo cada día. Sólo hay WIFI en algunas zonas del jardín y restaurante. No en la habitación. Desayuno muy pobre, no hay reposición de lo que se terminaba

Hotel limpio y perfecto

La piscina era increíble y la habitación enorme, un baño grande, completo y todo muy limpio. Nos hemos cambiado a otro hotel por falta de disponibilidad y nos ha dado mucha pena. Probablemente lo mejor de Coron en relación al precio y a 5 minutos o menos en moto hasta el centro.
